Appetizers:Salads are good. Stay away from cheesy, breadcrumby baked clams, or any seafood. Crabmeat is not fresh tasting and always accompanied by overwhelming red peper overtones. Entrees-Have never had decent fish. Beef and rack of lemb is decent. But to get a plain steak is difficult. You must request one that hasn't been pre-soaked in a sauce for "flavor" which is often salty. Wine List-Very limited, but drinks are volumnous and good. less

Recently had a small party at this restaurant.I was impressed by the decor and thought I was going to enjoy our special occasion here, especially since it had a wonderful reputation. The day of the affair I called the owner, as a courtesy, to tell him how many guests there would be so they would be able to set up properly.He seemed to wonder why I was calling...that should have been my first clue. We walked into the restaurant and our area was set up in the ordinary fashion.There was no special set up, tables were separated.15 people had to sit at separate tables even though we were one party.It made our celebration very uncomfortable.The best part of our experience was our waitress, she truely was fabulous and extremely pleasant.When it came time for dessert we contracted for a special cake and were served blueberry pie instead. They were reminded and said we would get the cake also. I personally think they forgot, why would you serve two desserts. Lastly, our deposit was not deducted from our bill, which we did not notice until we got home. Now, you would say a mistake can happen to anyone and that is exactly what we thought.It took three unsuccessful phone calls and a return trip to the restaurant to have our deposit returned.All in all it was not a pleasant experience and we will certainly not return.We were very disappointed in the way our party was treated. less

For a small, but elegant, casual resturant, you will not stop talking about the food, service or drinks. The Chef-Owner Joe Lester is one talented man. He transformed an old biker-bar into a cullinary masyerpiece. This resturant is getting harder and harder to get reservations for 5 or more, weekends are many weeks in advance. This the one place for that special gathering, a place I highly reccomend. less
