Islamorada FIsh is the place I take my guests that have not been to the Keys before..I am a local and I visit Islamorada Fish at least 8 times per year. The atmosphere is great..there is always a musician playing Island tunes..waterfrint dining..but very casusal..the staff is phenomenal and their Steamed Shrimp appetizer is a must..also try their Smoke Fish Dip it is my favorite of any I have had in the Keys..and I have lived here 30 years~ Call ahead so you dont have to wait too long! less

Islamorada Fish Company's most endearing attributes are its outdoor seating, waterway filled with tarpon and nurse sharks, and beach area with tiki torches. The food is good, not great, but the atmosphere easily makes up for any lapses. The shrimp were well done, but the tuna was overcooked and not as flavorful as it should have been. In spite of this, though, the place is a great spot and deserves a visit if your in the area. less

Right from start, our hostess was a pleasure and directed us to the bar for a margarita while we waited for a table - 10 mins. The service was quick and the food was perfectly prepared. We all had special orders. The writer above mentioned the singer whose music was great -- a little loud -- but great. The environment was clean and was bussed rapidly. The prices were great and stone crab claws are in season right now, so that was great to have. The server pointed out the boats that brought in the crabs and lobsters. less
