Forget dinner here. Come for the dim sum, which seems to be served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every day. Now that Savoury restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga lost their dim sum chef, this is really the only game in town if you live in West San Bernardino County. Almost every traditional dim sum dish is here, from har gow to chicken's feet and boy is it cheap. Five of us from my work at a huge meal; about 9 dim sum selections AND three orders from the lunch menu for about $50. Beware of some of the fried items - tasty but very oily. Their barbecue pork bao is wonderful and you can get it baked or steamed. Most selections are steamed and involve some form of meatball with pork or shrimp, mushroom and scallion combinations cleverly wrapped in egg, tofu, taro, or glutenous rice. Soy based sauces, if not just plain soy sauce, dominate as the salty contrasting flavor. It belands with almost every selection perfectly. Most flavors seem to be mild to appeal to middle-America tastes. We did notice an unfortunate tendency on the part of the staff, on more than one visit, that if you are Chinese-American, you will get preferential treatment. Once the staff notices that you exist, if you are any other minority (and I'm including Caucasian here), they are generally attentive. A small fault I'm willing to overlook for the value and pleasure of the food here. less
