My wife and I enjoyed the time we spent there last Saturday night. The atmosphere is noisy but it is also one of people enjoying themselves. The food is probably not the best German cuisine that can be found, but we both enjoyed ours. I had the weiner schnitzel which was quite good - be sure to get it with the fried egg on top. We are not beer drinkers so I can not comment on that part of what they have to offer. less

The first Hofbrauhaus outside of Germany has landed across the river from Cincinnati in Newport, Kentucky. You might come for the beer, but you'll stay for the fine German cuisine. Try the Jägerschnitzel, which is schnitzel topped with Hunters mushroom sauce and served with fried potatoes. Or the Sauerbraten which is roasted round of marinated beef served with red apple kraut, vegetable, and mashed potatoes. <br> Also sample their beers, from the Hofbrau Premium Lager to the Munich Weizen, a wheat beer. <br> Go to the Hofbrauhaus for the food, but stay for the beer. less
