A themed restaurant with sophistication, elegance, and a lovely atmosphere? You bet! The Hideout Steakhouse is where I take all of my business clients and employees. From the outside it looks like fun, with a couple of old ‘20s cars in the front, but once you enter the doors you realize what the place is really about. The atmosphere is more than anyone could hope for in an environment that one would be looking for to entertain clients while staying on track. The room stays fairly quiet, and when I go there is usually a piano player dampening out some of the added noise. Their wine selection is amazing and thus far I have tasted nothing that was less than delectable. My clients always mention something about the wine selection, and if I recall correctly the restaurant keeps over 1400 bottles on hand, which is quite impressive. The attire that the staff wears is nice and somewhat formal, which adds to the level of sophistication of the establishment. The Staff is always friendly, welcoming, and helpful and they seem to often go out of their way and in my opinion above and beyond to make your afternoon or evening a great experience. I enjoy not having to worry about the quality of food for my clients, as it is always delicious and has the added bonus of not being as expensive as one would think for a restaurant of this caliber. less

First of all...I live in Paducah, KY. You wouldn’t think that people from Paducah would travel 45 minutes to an hour, just to go eat. At least, I wouldn’t think this when my family was attempting to get me to do it! I mean, we have enough restaurants – Olive Garden, Rafferty’s, Patti’s and many others, why would I want to drive an hour to go eat?! It is my stubbornness that kept me away from such a fine establishment for many years. Finally, one day I gave in – and I am so glad I did! You probably won’t believe this, but I have since driven to Marion, IL a total of 4 times in less than a month with my wife and daughter. Their steak is amazing, the first time I went I settled for the New York strip (probably because I was able to say, “I’ll have the stripper, medium-well”) and it was superb. From that point on I went all out and had their 18 oz porterhouse, and it is so good that even though it definitely fills me up I am always left wanting more. My wife has gotten “The sting” every time, which I believe is a couple of chicken breasts covered in Cajun spices over rice with steamed vegetables on the side, and it’s great as well (I often get to eat the leftovers the next day). My 11 year old daughter gets the “Hot Momma” which is basically the same thing my wife gets except it’s on a bun and comes with fries. I would save a lot of money if the restaurant would assign the fun names to the children’s menu! Anyhow, I’ve been given a lot of grief from my parents since I’ve become a fan of The Hideout Steakhouse, but its well worth it and worth every bit of gas money! I now find myself trying to make excuses to go over that way; I really hope my family doesn’t get tired of it! less

The "servers" are just that servers, they have limited interpersonal skills and do nothing to enhance the dining experience. The last time that I visited this establishment a party of 5 we heard we out of this appetiser, we are out of this this main course, and we are out of this dessert, only after the server went to the kitchen returning empty handed. In adition the server couldn't tell us what process the steaks were cooked. less

It is located right by the Cracker Barrel restraunt right off the interstate. less
