This is probably the best Japanese restaurant in Kansas City. The food here is very good, but they lack a sushi bar. The restaurant is located in the Country Club Plaza, so there are pleny of places to shop or browse if you have a wait before seating. As in the typical Japanese steak house atmosphere, you are seated at a large table with other people. The chef comes out to cook in front of you as well. I would recomend this Japanese steak house over any other in KC as long as you are not craving shshi. less

Unfortunately, they are likely to put people with you that you don't know, which puts a damper on a good date but otherwise its pretty great. less
