This was a slightly below average breakfast place due to the lack of variety of options. My hubby and I are used to having at least a few vegetarian options aside form the standard pancakes or waffles, but all they really had was a Spinach Flourintine which was an outrageous $10.99!!!!!! For fricken spinach and eggs. Never seen that so expensive no matter how high end a restaurant I have dined at. And then they had just basic scrambled eggs. We both had no choice but to order pancakes and waffles. We got a side of hashbrowns which were not greasy and very tasty luckily. The waffle smelled better then it tasted. I love a fluffy waffle, but these were too fluffy! So fluffy that the syrup soaked right in and disappeared so when I took a bit of where I just poured it was tasteless syrup wise. Very odd! Thier OJ was fresh and good, but a tad too bitter. They need to use sweeter oranges most definitely. Service as average. Had to wait a while to order and search for our waitress to pay. Quality of everything overall is about a half point better then Denny's. less

We are coast side locals, and this is a favorite place for breakfast. I recommend the spinach and bacon omelet - lots of fresh spinach. Happy Cooker is an old-fashoined small town restaurant. It's not at all fancy, but the service is friendly and good. The specials are usually very good, and the fish is very fresh (as it should be on the coast). The hashbrowns can be a bit greasy, so I don't order them. We have not had a bad meal there, and have been there several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. less
