I love Happi House... It's the best chicken teriyaki I've had, and there is nothing else like it. I also love their sesame chicken salad. The food is always fresh and the place is always clean, but maybe a little too bright. I think all of the menu items cost far less than $10 and they have lunch specials for around $5 - $6. My wife and I will often take a large meal home and have leftovers for the next day. The chicken is really good cold or nuked too. less

For the same amount of money, you can get more authentic Japanese food at a sit-down restaurant in downtown Castro street. It is indeed a mystery to understand how they stay profitable. less
