This is one of the best restaurants in Tacoma! If you like Indian food, you will not be disappointed. The curries are fabulous. Yes, the service can be slow on their busiest days -- it's easily taken us over two hours to complete our meal there before -- but that also can add to the experience, especially when sharing a meal with friends. CJ has a fantasic memory for faces and names so you'll soon feel like a welcome regular. Try our favorites: murgh (chicken) tikka masala, peas and cheese (mutter paneer), and onion kulcha (stuffed bread). Each entree comes with a spicy lentil soup that definitely starts you on the right note. Enjoy! less

Most excellent place I have been. CJ and his brother are the best and make the best Indian food in the Northwest. This is not only my favorite Tacoma restaurant but anywhere, I have eaten at a lot of Indian food. The expansion is great, when they are packed, and the place is huge now, it gets a little slow (the food is more than worth the wait). My personal favorites are the Gosht(Lamb) Masala and Vindaloo. less

The place is still very popular and during peak hours you still may have to wait a little while - but with more tables and space the wait time will be less. After years of national and international dining the food at this place rates really high. The veggie samosa's are excellent. less

Excellent but small Indian place. The food is fantastic but there is a serious space problem. I have never been there and not had to wait at least 15 mins. for a table, even for 2 people. There is not much seating for waiting, either. Lots of UPS ... more

There is not much seating for waiting, either. Lots of UPS students go here so it tends to be a younger crowd. less
