The price listed above is an average for lunch. As a longtime Garfield's customer, I recommend it as the best place for meals when you wish you could go to your mother's house for dinner. Garfield's excels in comfort foods. Start with one of their homemade soups or chili, and add a roast beef sandwich. For a big appetite, you'll want the open faced roast beef or turkey sandwich, with stuffing, gravy, and real mashed potatoes. For an equally filling hot sandwich, try the Tuna Almond Pita!
Garfield's pie is the best I've ever tasted - daily they serve banana cream, coconut cream, and a wide variety of others. Pies have a flaky crust, and meringues are lightly browned and piled high.
Don't leave without taking home a loaf of their homemade bread, made fresh daily, available for purchase near the checkout.
I like the atomosphere - cordial, helpful waitresses who anticipate your needs, yet don't hover. They also do a steady carryout business. Open Tuesday through Saturday, closed on Sundays and Mondays.
