If you're a fan of the Joe Muer restaurants and have missed this place, you need to go. A tad pricy, especially for some of the dishes, the lobster ravioli is practically a child's portion, but the food overall is excellent and the atmosphere cannot be topped. Attentive service and they will accomodate if you ask them, as they did us while visiting family at nearby Mott Hospital. less

I have been here twice, both times for lunch. It is quite pricy ($14.00 sandwich) and the food is adequate. Their fresh baked bread is tremendous. Get there on the early side and sit in front of the windows near the train tracks to enjoy the excellen ... more

I have been here twice, both times for lunch. It is quite pricy ($14.00 sandwich) and the food is adequate. Their fresh baked bread is tremendous. Get there on the early side and sit in front of the windows near the train tracks to enjoy the excellent view including a small bit of the river. The atmosphere is really great. Service was good, but not outstanding. All considered, a nice experience. less

This is a great restaurant when you add together the food, an attentive wait staff (for the most part; it does vary) and great atmosphere. Clapping for the passing Amtrak trains is a unique and fun tradition. The Gandy Dancer is crammed on every major college event weekend as students love to have their folks take them out there. Try to arrive early to mid-serving for Sunday Brunch as it isn't replenished well after 1 PM. This is one of the pricier Ann Arbor spots, but is probably a bargain to folks from the Eastern US. less
