From the Bayou has been sold to new owners and has been re-named Jambalaya. We went a few days ago and the food tasted as good as it has always been. I had the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. I couldn't tell any difference between the gumbo before the restaurant was sold from after it was sold. They still give you the free muffins with every meal too. The menus look a little different, but otherwise not much else has changed. The old owner apparently didn't have the phone number switched over to the new owners. As a result, folks do not seem to realize it is still in business! They have a website under construction at http://visitjambalaya.com/ I'm just hoping the number change/name change will not run this amazing restaurant out of business! less

If I could give this place a zero I would. The Seafood Gumbo was absolute slop, with a trace of crap mixed in! The Chicken and Andouille Sausage Jambalaya at $12.00 a serving was the most I’ve ever paid for Rice-A-Roni. However, the cook must have felt generous and added two pieces of chicken and three small pieces of sausage into the box of Rice-A Roni when it was served. The other people at my table enjoyed similar tasteless entrees reminiscent of Uncle Ben’s instant rice laced with chicken broth. Although our waitress admitted the cook was new, there is no excuse for this tasteless, spiceless gruel. less

While the food is supburb, it is most definately not one of your high-falutin' kind of places. Jeans and a sport shirt are right in style. Give it a try. less

This restaurant has been raved about by all reviewers in the Puget Sound area. Fantastic, authentic Cajun with the atmosphere to boot. Even Matt Groening enjoys it ( there's even a hand-drawn cartoon of Homer Simpson praising the food displayed on a wall ). The restaurant is in Parkland, but since that town isn't listed here, the closest village is Spanaway. Don't miss out on this small, but pleasant, bit of Americana. Yumm. less
