I wanted to say one thing about this place. I had stayed there many times until my young daughter was seriously injured there and the owner totally blew us off when this happened. My daughter at the time was only 10. In the back of the Inn there is a hot tub, as well as a rear entrance to the Inn. My daughter left the hot tub, and when she entered the rear doorway fell down 20 feet of stairs and hit the hard floor below. She suffered contusions on her face, neck, back, and legs, and was in near shock for over an hour. I brought her to the Littleton hospital, and they told me she would be fine. After this I talked with the Innkeeper (Christian) and he told me he phoned the owner who would speak to me at noon the following day. Guess what- The owner stiffed me and never showed. I was very angry and again talked with Christian and he told me the owner would meet me again the following day and again he never showed. Christian tried to show me some decency and offered me a room at another local establishment (LOvetts Inn) and that the Franconia Inn would pay for a whole day. Sincere we did not want to stay there any longer we went to the Lovetts Inn and found that the Franconia Inn paid $30 towards a $100 per night room. The whole issue was that the rear entry from the outside hot tub (door) did NOT have a sign indicating to simply "Watch Your Step" and neither of us knew that the first step as you enter was a "half" step- not a full step and my daughter tumbled down the stairs. The owner should be totally ashamed. I could easily have contacted a local attorney, called the Sherriff and sued the owner but did not. I would never recommend this place and urge people to do the same less
