Jack Stack is great. Food is wonderful, service is what it should be. HOWEVER, somewhere along the line, KC BBQ decided it need to go "upscale" - a bbq restaurant with white table cloths??? What's the point? Jack Stack is trying to compete with KC Masterpiece and I think they're as good or better. But they have sacrificed atmosphere for a little suburban snobbery. It does not wear well. Jack Stack should be on your must-eat-at BBQ joints list, (right after SmokeHouse BBQ). I highly recommend the Martin City (MO) location for a far more authentic experience (no white table cloths!). less

The ribs were only "pretty good" they have a good flavor but were a little chewy. However the burnt ends were excellent. I have gone to other places around town and you could tell that they weren't real burnt ends just "chopped ... more

The ribs were only "pretty good" they have a good flavor but were a little chewy. However the burnt ends were excellent. I have gone to other places around town and you could tell that they weren't real burnt ends just "chopped meat" but these were perfect. And the grilled spice rubbed chicken was out of this world. I will go back! less

Overpriced and overrated! The slab was tough and tasted baked not smoked. The combo plates were average bbq. The bright spot in the menu was the grilled salmon and spinach salad (not really bbq items). With all the bbq restaurants to pick from ... more
