If you want Mexican, authentic or not, don't go here. Their food is substandard and would be best described as US american home cooking when someone was thinking about Mexico, but had really only been to Tijuana to buy trinkets but didn't sample any food because they were afraid of getting sick... I'll give them this - their service was friendly and fairly quick. The food tasted horrible. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my whitest white friends. less

I love tacos and was reccomended to try El Torero by my boyfriend. We traveled all the way from San Fransisco just to give it a shot. The food was excellent and I definately reccomend the fish tacos. Mmmmmmm yummy! There is also a nice little mote ... more

An awful experience. This restaurant was recommended to us by my parents. We were seated right away but then had to wait 15 minutes before our server appeared. We ordered 2 drinks and waited 20 minutes for them. The server said she would be right ... more

An awful experience. This restaurant was recommended to us by my parents. We were seated right away but then had to wait 15 minutes before our server appeared. We ordered 2 drinks and waited 20 minutes for them. The server said she would be right back to take our dinner order. 15 minutes later she appeared. Our meal took 25 minutes to arrive and it was most disappointing. The steak tasted awful. It had to be very old meat. We barely touched our food and left. I am not a very good complainer so I said nothing. Because of the terrible service and food not fit for a dog I left no tip. I hope that gave them an idea what I thought of my dining experience. This restaurant will never be recommended by me to ANYONE. less
