Wow best burgers since Five guys back on the mainland. They have a very wide selection you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Blink and you will miss it. It is just a roadside stand next to the Whalers General store. I have to say I am not one for their hours. They close at 6 so don't think you'll be going there for a little late night snack. less

If someone had told me that I had to travel from New York to a little red hut on Kauai to have the best burger that I can remember, I would have told them they were crazy. Thank goodness someone told us about Duane's when we arrived on the island or we might have just passed it by and missed a great lunch. I had the Local Boy burger, with Teriyaki, pinapple, cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato. It was the best I've had. Just make sure you check on the surf conditions when you stop there for lunch. They may be closed for surf boarding. less
