This is absolutely one of the best restaurants in Austin and the only place I know of to get Romanian food. The decor is charmingly unexciting and the wait staff usually doesn't think to refill drinks unless you ask them to, but they are friendly and enthusiastic and the food is amazing. This is a family-owned and run business and you can tell they take real pride in the quality of their dishes. I have particularly enjoyed the mici (Romanian sausage made with beef, pork, and lots of garlic), goulash, and stuffed cabbage. The mushrooms and polenta are two of the best sides, and the crepes and apple strudel are my favorite deserts. My husband and I try to visit at least once or twice a month and take someone new with us each time to spread the word about this hidden jewel. less
