When lakewood was predominantly a farming and ranching community, Dave's was a place the early risers would go to grab coffee, bacon and egss and chat about the farm report, local politics and current events. I went here for the first time with my grandfather, he negotiated a tractor repair while I gobbled up a plate of eggs. This place still has that kind of local flavor. Fresh eggs, hot fresh coffee, slightly undercooked bacon, and lots of older early risers discussing what is wrong with lakewood. less

When lakewood was predominantly a farming and ranching community, Dave's was a place the early risers would go to grab coffee, bacon and egss and chat about the farm report, local politics and current events. I went here for the first time with my grandfather, he negotiated a tractor repair while I gobbled up a plate of eggs. This place still has that kind of local flavor. Fresh eggs, hot fresh coffee, slightly undercooked bacon, and lots of older early risers discussing what is wrong with lakewood. Local politicians would be well advised to make this a regular stop on the campaign trail in Lakewood. I hope they never tear this place down to put in a StarBucks. less

I haven't eaten at Davies Chuck Wagon for probably 7 years. When I went there the place was dirty and there were flys and bugs all over the resturant. My Uncles sandwich was dropped on the way to our table, and the picked it up and put it back on the plate hoping that we didn't notice it. But we did. However there are always cars in the parking lot and it is always busy. A family friend of ours really enjoys eating there and says that the place is very clean. Maybe its under new management? less
