Upon entering, I was immediately daunted by the sheer size of the place. Even so, it was full of beautiful people on a busy Friday night. Halfway up the sweeping staircase that led to the Sky Lounge and rooftop patio was a perfect vantage point to check out the action. Our drinks arrived quickly and we cracked open simply the best pub menu I have ever seen. We considered a range of beautifully described dishes, which included salads, pizza, chicken and pasta, all for under $15. Larger surf and turf entrées were in the reasonable mid-$20s, but since we were in a bar, my friend and I zoomed in on the extensive selection of appetizers. We were rewarded with a piping hot, creamy baked artichoke & spinach dip served with salty tricolour tortilla chips for $9.50. The escargot ($8.95) was a little disappointing, as the luscious garlic-butter snails were overwhelmed by their large mushroom caps, but those coconut prawns… For $9.95, we savoured six enormous, juicy prawns and a tangy pina colada mustard dip. The batter was less sweet than I expected and the dish was absolutely unbelievable. As we ate, we enjoyed an eclectic mix of '80s and 90's music from a range of genres. less

A good menu selection and well presented. The Bistro is nicely decorated and the staff very friendly. If there were any downfall to this place, I would have to say it's the accoustics. With high domed ceilings, it is noisy even when not crowde ... more

With high domed ceilings, it is noisy even when not crowded. If you're seated with 6 people at a table, you can barely hear the person across from you. Although it will be an enjoyable evening, don't expect soft spoken conversation. Better keep those intimate conversations for another location because you'll have to talk loud here to be heard. Other than that, a great dining experience. less
