It doesn't matter how good a restaurant's food is, if the service isn't worth a darn. Then again a restaurant's food can be horrible, but if the service is superb they won't lose business. 2 different groups of 2 walked out before our reservation, upset. We were seated at 7:30. At 8:30 still not even a salad. Someone ELSE, other than our waiter brought us more saltine crackers to fill up on. We were a group of 6. The table in back of us, group of 20 had absolutely superb service. No one wanted for anything. They practically had their own private waiter waiting on them. We have been coming to Coy's for so many years we can't count. But no more. The manager obviously from conversation didn't care. less

They have the highest prices in the area, then the customers are slapped with a 11% sales tax--Hot Springs is a tourist trap--which can be disconcerting. less

Spent a week in Hot Springs and was dissapointed in most of the resturants there. We asked the locals for recommendations and most said the fast food places were as good as any. Thats sad! But one name kept popping up, Coy's Steak House. Wonderful steaks! The service was excellent even though it was very busy. We had a great server. took time to make sure everything was okay. Even waited while my wife cut her steak to make sure it was done right. Thanks Coy's for a fine dining experience. less

This is the better steak restaurant in Hot Springs. The atmosphere has just enough bustle and noise to let you know that people enjoy it here. The servers are attentive and very polite. Many get to know a lot of the customers and will speak to them like old friends, even greeting them when they are not waiting on them. The steaks rule here. They are prepared well and to the proper temperature. The lamb chops are a real favorite with us. Seafood is usually prepared well too, although portions can be a bit small. The house dressing for the salad is excellent. The only area I would like to see improved would be the overall decor. It is nice enough, but appears ready for a redecorate. It also seems that for the price and food, tablecloths would be appropriate. less
