Country Junction was our Labor Day choice. It had come highly recommended by a peer.
With its close proximity to US 10, we certainly expected Country Junction to be packed with Labor Day travellers from the highway. We were pleasantly surprised to see relaxed and smiling locals.
2 glasses of ice water were promptly delived to our table. That glass of icewater was my first with a meal in CA in a month of eating out an average of 5 days a week. A very pleasant gesture.
We both opted for a breakfast, which is served all day. I received a huge portion of eggs, served atop a freash biscuit and smothered in old style gravy. Order the potatoes with the meal, very very tasty. My associate got a scrumptious skillet he raved about all the way back to Orange Cnty.
I tried the Boysenberry pie for dessert. I was asked if I wanted the pie warmed and with ice cream, while I declined, this was a nice touch. He had the bread pudding and it came delightfully presented and was fresh and tasty.
The service was great. Bathrooms were clean and presentable.
I highly recommend Country Junction as a stop for anyone travelling US 10, close to the highway and very large portions at low prices. less
