This restaurant has an amazing atmosphere. The dimly lit interior allows the restaurant's patrons to see a spectacular view of the city below. The food is very good, but the prices are fairly high. It wasn't horrible, but I dont think it lives up to the quality you would expect from the building. Lake point towers has an amazing reputation for the residences within, but the restaurant doesn't maintain the same level of quality. While the view was excellent, the service was lacking and the food was less than perfect. Another review I read mentioned that it rotates and I would like to clear that up -it doesn't. We went on a saturday night about 9:00 and, although we had them, I doubt reservations were necessary. less

EXCELLENT restaurant, along with the food! I had the filet mignon which was absolutely delicious! The wait staff was also very professional. When we checked our coats the attendant gave ME the ticket for my date's coat. It's hard to find a restaurant that pays this much attention to detail. Even our waiter asked us 'And the host of the evening is?' and gave me the menu with the prices while my date had a menu with no prices. It's a tad expensive, but it's worth it, for a special occasion, considering the food is some of the best i've ever had. The view is also unbelievable! some of the best views of chicago I've ever seen, and I was born and raised in this city. Enjoy the food, wine, and the view. less

Absolutely incredible service, views and food. The staff made us feel like we were the only people in the restraunt. If there was a bad seat in the place, we were unable to see it, our seat had a view of the entire city. Located at the top of Lake Pointe Towers (Near Navy Peir)with a circular dining room. Wear a suit/jacket/tux or something appropriate. If your paying this kind of money for the meal, you should expect that the staff and experience will be formal. If you are unsure of when to go, save it for a special day for you and your loved one(s). Don't try to get into this rest. on day like Valentine's day or other general holiday, they fill up reservations several weeks ahead of time. Oh yeah, reservations are of course required. The BEST restraunt I have ever eaten at!!!! less

Location is great for views of the city and lake. Came highly recommended by Hotel Staff (Renaissance Hotel). Wait Staff most inappropriate. Treated guest like they were better than the guest. Did not make you feel like you were the only people in the restaurant. He actaully kissed the hand of another guest as she was passing our table and acted as if we were not there, then showed more interest in that 'hand kisser' the rest of our meal. We never had a specific waiter after he kissed her hand. We started having 'piece mill' service. Had to ask for everything, including water refills. One member of our group had a glass of wine before we ordered and the 'initial' waiter acted like he was put out that she asked the name and vineyard of their 'house wines'. We asked for the manager and requested our bill after the delivery of our salads. While the manager was at the table the 'fill in waiter' delivered the check. It was for the entire meal (the entree' had not been delivered yet!). When questioned with the manager he was under the impression it would only be the items that had been served, not the entire amount. When informed it had not been adjusted accordingly (not surprised, since we had so many different staff filling in) he absorbed the check. We were not impressed at all with the service. I'm sure the quality of the food was excellant, at least what we had was, but when the service lack professionalism and common courtesy then the rest is bad. The manager attempted to explain that they were in a transition period and requested we return again on our next visit to Chicago. We decided that considering the cost and recommedation that we should not expect them to be in a state of 'transition'. It is doubtful we will want to 'experience' that environment and lack of professionalism again... less
