This is supposed to be a Jewish type New York delicatessen. Their bagels are no different than Safeway's, Albertsons etc. supermarkets. Tried their bialy, which looked and tasted like a bagel. <br> I've eaten in Katz's on Houston St. in NYC, although Chompie's puts on lot of meat on a $8.50 sandwich, the meat (brisket of beef) was dry. I've made better brisket of beef at home. No comparison here when this deli is compared to Jewish deli's in Jewish neighborhoods in the NYC area. <br> This is a pseudo Jewish deli with high prices and mediocre bagels & bialy's. I've had "real" Jewish bagels & bialy's in NY and Chompie's comes nowhere near the real thing. less

Owned and operated by transplants from Brooklyn. Always busy easpecially mornings from appoximately 6:30 to 10 AM. Lots of smoked fish, cream cheeses and blintzes available. About 20 varities of excellent bagels; that are made here each day (buy 12 get 6 free). Their bakery has may pies and cookies and tasty coffee cakes. The aromas will almost remind you of NYC. A relaxing place to read the paper or discuss business with friends or associates. less
