Comments: I went here today for lunch with friends. The place is definitely cafe-like on the inside but it is (as Greig said) clean and comfortable and the servers are polite and prompt. I had the lunch combo (ONLY $5.95!!!) which consists of two items. I chose sweet and sour pork and prawns with lobster sauce. First, they give you a generous bowl of hot and sour soup, which was good, and a mini-Chinese sesame salad and then we received our entrees and I had ordered the vegetable fried rice with mine. The rice was quite good, the sweet and sour pork was pretty good, and the prawns were very good. I recommend China Cafe for inexpensive, good-tasting Chinese food in a nice atmosphere with decent service. less

What turns me off about some Chinese restaurants is they look dirty......this one looks really clean! It looks more like a French restaurant.......and the service is very good. I do like their Chow Mein, and they've got many really good dishes. ... more

Excellent food at reasonable prices and the staff is always friendly and right on top of things. The entrees, when you order takeout, are always larger than at other places and come in microwaveable packages, not the standard cardboard boxes ot ... more

Excellent food at reasonable prices and the staff is always friendly and right on top of things. The entrees, when you order takeout, are always larger than at other places and come in microwaveable packages, not the standard cardboard boxes other places use, so even though the China Cafe normally gives you more than enough to feed two, you can reheat the food and still have it moist. They have really terrific lunch specials and with lunch they always serve soup, a small salad, tea, and water. A wonderful place for lunch. Somewhat crowded at dinner (because the food is good, of course!), I'd recommend takeout. less

This is a new restaurant which replaced L'arbre De La Vie in Mountain View. They have the same tables etc. that were at the old restaurant. The food is very good and the service was excellent. We had their standard dinner for two and I wish they gave more choices for this dinner. My friends have also told me about this new "good Chineese restaurant". We will return and try it again. less
