I've been going to Charlies on "The Trail" for many years now. Maybe one out of the twenty-five meals there was disappointing... but that isn't bad. I think it's the best steak house in Orlando. I have no hesitation in bringing my clients, friends and family there. We always get there at least once a year for a birthday. If you are a local, you get a free dinner (steak or whatever). For the quality of the food and service, I find it to be a great value. less

Food is OK. The young Manager was completely lazy on our visit in the first 2 weeks on June. We ordered a groung beef steak and was told they were out of them (at the opening hour of business). Continued to call each day of stay in order to get one and even visited twice but was told that he did not want to go to the trouble to grind and make them (then take them off the menu or get a job where you don't have to work). Beware if what they bring is not how you order it because they do not seem to care like they used to before they put a young guy in as manager! less

This was my first time at Charlies. We made reservations for a birthday celebration and when we arrived we were seated immediately. Our service was fantastic. On average, after ordering steaks and one drink each, dinner cost about $55 each. My porterhouse was $37. The steaks were cooked perfectly, and the taste was delicious. I had the Berringer Cabernet with dinner and it was a perfect match. All in all, a great experience, but my pocketbook felt a little abused. But we did enjoy a wonderful evening. Just can't afford to go frequently. less
