This is one of those places whose location seems to make the food and drink taste better than they really are. I've been there many times over the past 20+ years and I can honestly say I've never been overly impressed with anything except the atmosphere. It's a great place to bring visiting snowbirds and they are responsible for 90% of our trips there. You'll more than likely have a pleasant experience, but if it's culinary nirvana that you're looking for, this ain't the place. less

You'll luve-it, here on the Indian River at Captain Hiram's. It's an Islands-Atmosphere, where you dine on the riverside-deck with a view of charter-fishing-boats docked at this marina, with mellow sounds of live Jimmy-Buffett style music, good company, tall island-rum-drinks, good fried-seafood heaped-high on platters, n'such, at reasonable prices. Go there for the Indian Riverside deck-seating, the "sand-bar" under cocoanut-palms, the islands-ballads, and all the local color and islands-ambiance of this pleasantly touristy laid-back setting that will make you think, for a moment, that you're magically back in the Bahamas... less
