Chef/owner Ciro Marino makes occasional visits to Italy to keep the Campania menu fresh and authentic, and to relearn and rediscover family favorites from his ancestral stomping grounds in Southern Italy. As a result, Campania offers classic Southern Italian cuisine, but its dishes are not so much red-and-white traditional entrees as they are creative interpretations that remain authentic. In other words, diners find not only pastas and eggplant but also broiled veal chops and salmon in tomato cream. <br> Seafood dominates the menu, including clams, shrimp dishes, mussels and even lobster. Marino and wife Suzanne manage a venue with a relaxed atmosphere that allows for elegant, candlelit fine dining environment that somehow remains attitude-free. Campania has captured a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence several years running, and its wine list is universally heralded as one of the city's best.
