Among the myriad of coffee houses in Palo Alto, Caffe Verona stands out for the quality of the coffee and coffee drinks, the good selection of wines and apertifs, an inviting and attractive interior, outdoor seating, and a decent Cafe' menu. The food options include salads, pastas, pizzettas, paninos, and soups -- all of which are generally good but not outstanding. The major drawback is the service, which is generally efficient, but not particularly friendly and can get notably overstretched during rush periods. Caffe' Verona is a great place to hang out, have a light meal, or visit with friends over a cup of coffee or glass of wine. It is not the place for an intimate romatic dinner. less
