The ultimate for dessert is the cities. Stay on the wine bars side. Less busy but you have to get your own food. Good wines to match the limited food and with dessert. Also lots of other choices, tea and coffee are always good. The chocolate cake is to die for. When my girl is down just the suggestion makes her smile. Restaurant side is good too. Sandwiches and soup are pretty decent. Place is always busy! Gotta try at least once! less

Love the self service and what needs to be said about the desserts...the Turtle Cake is legend, but don't shortchange the fruit tarts or the cheesecakes. <br> For a place called Cafe Latte, nobody seems to mention the coffee, which is consistantly good and well balanced, as long as you avoid the obviously oversweet concoctions. Try the Swedish Latte...heaven. less

Test this out for yourself next time you're there. The staff at the check-out end is CONSISTENTLY sullen, argumentative, and generally unhelpful. They stand around talking about how much they hate to work there, discussing their weekends, and providing the customer with bored looks and impatient mannerisms. NOT very customer service focused. The folks on the take-out side more than make up for the rudeness you'll experience in the cafe line. Since I live in the neighbborhood, and love the soups, salads and breads, I'm determined to always go for the take-out experience. Obsiously the service issues haven't hurt them. It might not be a bad idea for the management to take a little incognito trip through the cafe line during the rush period and take notes. less
