Absolutely love this place! The salads are huge, the bread is delicious and you have dinner if you can score a container to take it home with you. The salad dressins are perfect, not too heavy and not too light.
The only drawback is the bums out front. They wait and try to take your food if you get up from the table. It has happened to me twice and I insist on not sitting by the window because of it. Sounds silly, I know, but a big problem. less

This place serves one of the best baked bread for their sandwiches. I personally love the honey cracked wheat bread. Every time I go up to Berkeley, I would have to buy a loaf back to Los Angeles. On a side note, it does have one of the best win ... more

i like to eat healthy. a big intermezzo, green salad makes me feel healthy, n' ready to unload nething that's been sittin' in my bowels longer than it should. c, now that's good health! salads, sandwiches, n' soup... the honey wheat bread's great. uhm, i don't like their hummus. for some reason, sometimes, in the past, i'd forget how much i dislike it and order it again. oops. well, it's yucky. it's dry, sorta sour, n' just yucky. there are many other choices though, better choices. roast beef, turkey, chicken salad. all good choices for sandwiches. the honey poppyseed is the best dressing. intermezzo also has coffee drinks that r prett good and not too expensive. there's a similar restaurant up the street, coffee source. check 'em out n' compare. i think they've got superior salads. i believe they have better hummus too, and possibly bigger portions. i also think that restaurant feels a little cleaner and sometimes has better service. less
