The food is very average, but the beer is five stars*****. The burgers are consistently good though. The mozzarella mushroom burger is a personal favorite. I sometimes asked for the Buffalo burger with the above toppings. Butterfield's is under new ownership and they have also expanded into the ajoining space. The food is still average, albeit costs more! If you like great hand crafted beers, they do produce some of the nation's best. less

Went to this Restaurant on a Wed. night. I had the VooDoo Cajun chicken on a bed of fettucini, the alfredo sauce was separated, the chicken was bland with a little bit of cajun spices. My boyfriend had the all you can eat ribs special, he commente ... more

Went to this Restaurant on a Wed. night. I had the VooDoo Cajun chicken on a bed of fettucini, the alfredo sauce was separated, the chicken was bland with a little bit of cajun spices. My boyfriend had the all you can eat ribs special, he commented that the ribs and the "pilaf" both harkened back to cafeteria food of the left-over persuasion.The waiter however did not dissapoint, oh no, as the restaurant was nearly 1/3 full, he did not even stick around after he asked if eveything was o.k, while trying to give the obligatory yes, he had already been long gone! Our waiter did not remove the salad plate that was on the edge of our table, but another friendly waitress did. The beer was o.k. perhaps we hit on a bad evening. less

This has never been one of my favorite restaurants in Fresno. The food is so-so. The service is on the slow side. To be fair, I've never had a bad meal here, just never had my tastebuds in a tizzy afterwards. I can't imagine why anyone would take a date to this restaurant. The lighting is way too bright to be considered romantic. The noise level is loud. The menu features run-of-the-mill items which you would find at any Marie Callenders (minus the pies). The beer is very good however and if you're in to the suds then the trip won't be a total waste. less

The place to go to impress a date. Excellent food, the best beer and nice atmosphere. A small restaurant, so reservations are a necessity. The chef's specials are always worthwhile. Not really a family restaurant; kids are always welcome but there are few things for them to choose from. Staff is very friendly and there is never any feeling of being rushed. One of the top ten in Fresno. less
