Went back after not going for about a year and a half and was pleasantly surprised. Had lunch this time, a patty melt, and it was delicious. Cooked rare like I asked and served on a marbled rye bread. The person with me had fish and chips and loved i ... more

Went back after not going for about a year and a half and was pleasantly surprised. Had lunch this time, a patty melt, and it was delicious. Cooked rare like I asked and served on a marbled rye bread. The person with me had fish and chips and loved it. Large portion with a hefty amount of fries. My fries came cold, so they brought me a new plate of them, enough for 3 people. Now I'm anxious to go back and try dinner. They have enlarged the menu quite a bit since they first opened and they seem to be always busy, so they must be doing something right. The coupons they keep sending out I am sure in increasing business too. less

Well, gave this place another try...and we still have mixed reviews. First time we were here it was brand new and the service and the food were not quite up to par...dinner, wtihout soup, salad or dessert was around $40. This time we tried a hamburger and a sandwich. The hamburger, honestly, was excellent, cooked rare like I like it, and it was huge. It was served with tons of french fries. My husband had a sandwich, that, if he had not just recently had one at Max's Opera Plaza, he would have been satisfied with this one, but it was small, not loaded with meat and rather mediocre. So the hamburger was great, the sandwich, not, but I think this restaurant has the potential to be very good if they can just work out some minor problems. It is good to have another option in an area with few good restaurants to choose from. less
