My first review didn't do the justice this place deserves and has EARNED. Recently I had some friends over, and I suggested meatballs sanwiches and everyone was anxious to try my favorite place of all. When the night was over, they were all RAVING what a great place Big-O's is and all of them have driven from Orange to Mission Viejo several times since then to get those incredible sandwiches. In case you're leery of reviews, let me assure you, this little hole in the wall place did not stay in business approaching 30 years by serving second rate food or giving poor service. You can take this all to the BANK as being pure fact. Try this place! You'll be delighted you took my advice, unless your taste buds are easily satisfied with Budget Gourmet or Stouffers. In that case, save time and buy that garbage instead. :) This place is for people who know what good taste really is. :) less

This place might not be fancy at all, but I have to give it about 4 stars for food quality. It's mostly take out but taste is superior. Try the meatball sandwich on a 12" bun overstuffed with great meatballs and mozarella and toasted in the oven for a slightly crunchy delight, or baked just long enough to melt the cheese.
