I used to go to Bernie's quite a bit for their chili, which is excellent. But stupid me, I didn't know chili had a season. While most restaurants that serve chili and soup do so year around, I went into Bernie's one fine spring day in May for a bowl of chili to satisfy my cravings. Lo and behold, I was told that it's not chili season. Someone should have told me it was over. <br> Oh well, I just went next door into the bar area to heal my wounds with a drink. They have an excellent selection of imported beers, and a small stage where many bands, some of which have gone on to become famous, have played. It's kind of small and gets crowded, but it's a fun place to check out every once in a while. less

It is the strangest thing. I would recommend their personal pizzas. They are better than what you can get at most pizza joints. less
