I've been dining at Bernard's Surf for thirty years whenever I am down on the east coast. I live in Atlanta, the southeast mecca for fine dining, and Bernard's Surf beats anything we have here. The prices are not cheap, but the food is consistently excellent and the service impeccable. I wouldn't consider my annual vacation(s) complete without a visit to Bernard's Surf. You have to try it at least once! (I say that knowing you'll go back again and again.) less

BERNARD'S SURF: This FABULOUSLY FRIENDLY Cocoa Beach favorite, continues to offer some of the most DELIGHTFUL DINING, here in this COCOA BEACH SURFSIDE RESORT area. CONSISTANCY is the key, here at this fabulously friendly famous seaside resturant, and Bernard's has indeed become our very favorite choice, in this area. We dined, last night, at BERNARD'S, and were immediately impressed by the warm and relaxed sincerely-friendly welcome received. From the moment we stepped in the door, we knew that we were in congenial surroundings. BERNARD'S cheerfully-pleasant and helpful hostess, Lou, patiently, cheerfully, and considerately advised us in deciding on the best seating for our group, and the waitstaff greeted us as if we had been their invited friends-and-family guests. The waitstaff here are carefully-trained professional-quality servers, and every moment of our dining-experience here was made DELIGHTFUL, by this fortunate combination of FRIENDLY CONSISTANT QUALITY. We began with Bernard's famous Ceasar Salad, dramatically prepared table-side, and a perfectly prepared bubbling-hot crusty-topped French Onion Soup...followed by platters of Bernard's supurbly prepared sauteed SEAFOOD FEAST FOR TWO, at just under fifty dollars, and BLUE-CHEESE ENCRUSTED FILET MIGNON, fairly priced at $21.95, and the succulently flavorful BLUECRAB IMPERIAL, at just under twenty dollars, etc. EVERY dish served to us from among Bernard's carefully chosen elegant menu-selections was deliciously prepared, and the evening seemed to have been a study-in-perfection. For the upcoming Holiday Party Season, you may wish to consider booking space in Bernard's spacious second dining room, and the telephone number to call for this would be: (321) 783-2401 , asking to speak with Bernard's graciously efficient manager, Mr. William Krail. If you are entertaining a large group, or a family-style group, consider the seating at these longer tables of Bernard's effectively-airconditioned spacious back-room; and for more a more intimately romantic dining experience, you may prefer to ask for seating in the more quiet front rooms, closer to Hostess-Lou's reception desk and Bernard's cozy-corner lounge. BERNARD founded this now beloved seafood-mecca in the early sixties, when the SPACE-RACE was in it's infancy, and Owner Bernard hosted, wined and dined, and catered-to tired business-men at their lunchtime meetings, government-contractors, Patrick Airforce Base secretaries, Astronauts and newsmen....., locals and tourists. Bernard's has a rich history, and it's walls echo with the voices of a by-gone age. The menu's may not be as outrageously extensive as they once were, and the place may be looking a little less glamorous than it once did.....but the spirit of Bernard's warm hospitality lingers-on...and you will be happy that you've come here, to this friendly and famous Bernard's Surf on Atlantic Ave. (A1A) at Cocoa Beach. less
