The food and show are very good, but I had an experience that soured me on this restaurant. After eating a lunch there, I laid down a $3.50 tip for a $12 lunch, even though my server was mediocre. I was the last to leave the table, and the server came up to get her tips. When she picked mine up, she gave me an angry glare and said 'Are you kidding?'. Any servers who read this should be reminded that tips are NOT automatic. It depends on YOUR service. I have been in the restaurant business for 19 years, so I know whereof I speak. less

Benihana of Japan is a large mid-to-high class chain restaurant. In Atlanta there is the same. The chef cook in-front of you, with style. Shushi is fresh. Beer is cold, sake is hot... The location is great--heart of Buckhead. But is you travel farther... there are many Tepan(chef cook in front of you) restaurant is opening... I still believe Daruma Restaurant-- in Conyer is the best of Tepan, sushi, and traditional Japanese Restaurant in Atlanta. less
