BBQ house is ok BBQ. I tried the sampler platter. The meat was WAY too sweet and overcooked. The beans were pretty good. The corn wasn't really anything special. If this is Oakland style I probably wont like BBQ in Oakland. The sauce had no real character at all. I did like the home made links! The atmosphere was what you would expect from a house conversion. But you don't go to BBQ places for the lighting and the flowers on the table. Service was prompt if not a little rushed. They were out of greens when I got there, interesting because the owner said that they weren't as busy as they usually are. Try it. You might like it. Or you might not. It's not a place to avoid if someone suggests it in your party. less
