My husband and I and some friends dined at this restaurant last November 2001. I must say I enjoyed myself very much, and to say the least, the food was fantastic!I would definitely dine there again. The portions were not skimpy and the culinary flavors worked very well. The atmosphere is casual and cozy. A little expensive, but what do you want for good food! Thanks less

It's definately not the best dining experience in Ocean County, but it's very far from the worst. Overall, the prices were fairly reasonable when taking portion sizes into consideration. Flavor, texture, and plating presentation were all good. However I have been there several times in the spanse of 3 months or so (enough time for a seasonal menu to change) and in that time, I saw few changes to their menu.
Service was good, wait staff was very friendly and always attentive to every need. My chief complaint about the service was when I dined out one evening with a date, and asked for a smoking table, we were sat a small bar table in the bar area. Barely large enough for two people to sit and have a few drinks, let alone eat an entire meal. If the main dining room is too small to accomodate a full guest load, perhaps they should either expand, or turn diner's away. Better that than to suffer being cramped in an inadequately sized table.
Overall, a definate alternative to pizza or chinese, thats worth the extra cost. Drinks, house beers and if I'm not mistaken, house wines are all available. A cigar smoking room is available, but I believe at reservation only. I would recommend Basil T's to anyone expecting a good modernesque meal at a fairly reasonable price. less

Great choices of Italian entrees and always something different on the menu. And as far as taste goes........wonderful! The home made beer is out of this world and it goes really great with their pizzas. As far as price goes, resonable and well worth it. less
