My wife and I had our first date at Reno's Bangkok Thai in late 2004, and we have been loyal customers ever since. The atmosphere is intimate but relaxed, the decor unique and compelling, and the service is consistently outstanding. The food is excellent, encompassing the full spectrum of delicacy and intensity for which Thai food is known - some of our favorite dishes include Chicken and Snow Peas, Panang Curry, Spicy Cashew Chicken, and the Sizzling Platter - and the appetizers, desserts, and specials are always excellent - we enjoy the Tempura Veggies and Chicken Wanton appetizers, both of which come with a light but tasty plum sauce. Including drinks and appetizers for two (and my wife jokes that I eat for two by myself anyway), we have literally never had a bill over $50, since most entrees are $10 or less. We have walked in at the height of the dinner hour with no reservation in the middle of the Christmas shopping season, received our food literally almost as quickly as it was ordered, and were out and on with our evening appts within 20 minutes. I have only been in five or six times, but the service has always been excellent, and the food is custom made to order (you can subsititute tofu for any meat in any entree, and customize how spicy you like it...give me 10 star Chicken Panang Curry ... more
