I had to be talked into going here. Not because I had heard anything bad about the place, but because I had somewhere else in mind to go. I'm glad I relented. The atmosphere is great, the food was good, and the drinks from the bar were not skimmpy in the use of the alcohol of choice. The only thing lacking was the service. It was slow and sporatic. Still, I would recommend the place to anyone. less

the amigos restaurant, inside and out, is a monument to the way El Paso used to be. It is decorated with an eclectic collection of antiques, in an old adobe building surrounded with nopales. <br> They offer the type of Mexican/Tex-Mex cuisine typical of El Paso; enchilada, taco and burrito plates, fajitas, steak tampique��and, my favorite, chiles rellenos.
