The servers are actually very nice and the foo ... more The hostess or owner (not sure which) at the front is not nice - in fact rude. The air of snobby behavior from her doesn't work. She needs to develope a memory for people like us that frequent the place. The servers are actually very nice and the food consistant. Some of the items are pretty good but certainly not original. The "hostess" finally turned us off when she refused to seat us on an early Friday eve insisting the restaurant was booked. There in fact was one couple dinning at the time. Oh she generously offered the bar as if it were Spago. As if...We haven't bothered to go back. Their loss not ours. less

This place was highly recommended as a great restaurant by a friend. When we saw what it was...an order at the counter and seat yourself deal... we couldn't even imagine eating here for dinner but we did. The food is good, the menu is roasted turkey, prime rib, meat loaf with your pick of side dishes like mashed potato and such. As I said it's good, a few notches above Boston Market and guess what it costs more. This is not the kind of ambiance we're attracted to so we get it to go. There are no waiters here. less

Once they discovered we were going to be fixtures around ... more When we first checked out this restaurant we got less than a warm welcome but we were staying in the area and the food was better than the other Italian places on Laurel so we keep going back. Once they discovered we were going to be fixtures around their place they really changed their tune. We like the bar area and the chicken caeser. They are actually very nice and the food consistently good. Not worth a drive from Marin these days but if we were still hanging in the area we'd probably still be frequenting this restaurant. less

Our first experience here was so so but when shopping we stopped back in and loved it. We eat here several times a month and everything from the ahi to the steak is great. Have the crab cakes to start, you'll love them. Presentation of the food is also nice and service very good. Evenings get crowded so call ahead. less

I would skip this one. We had a very unpleasant experience here. The tables are close together and when the couple next to us was being seated our table got knocked into and a glass of water was spilled all over our main course and my lap. We asked that the food be replaced and for some towels. We didn't receive either. What we did eat we didn't like and it is over priced for what it is. less

It's good, it's local, it's fresh and the environment is what you expect for this type of place, non-descript but we like it. It gets crowded and it's been here a long time. I prefer to get the food to go.

This place has been here for ever and always has good memories attached to it. They give you a huge sandwich for the money and all are a favorite. Great deli stuff to go as well.
