This restaurant mainly deals in soups, sandwiches, and salads. Their Reuben is to die for...also their tiny homemade muffins that are served with every meal. They offer dine-in, take-out, and catering. I eat lunch here often.

I'm not sure what the draw is, but we were very disappointed in the food & service. Husbands fish had bones in it. Hush puppies were over cooked and after waiting 40 minutes for a table it took another 25 minutes to get our food. We have never been back. less

We like the family atmosphere and the Bar-B-Q is good. We get the assorted platter for a family of 4 and have more than enough food. Oh and we never sit in the booth under the Gator Helmet. The Seminole helmet is at the other end of the room.
Jaybird's Bar-B-Q	Lakeland, FL
This restaurant has the best bar-b-que around. They use natural woods in a real pit Bar-B-Q and no liquid smoke. The cowboy beans are a wonderful change from the ordinary baked beans most Bar-B-Q restaurants serve. I highly recommend this one.

For a wide variety of excellently prepared foods this is the place to go. Fun atmosphere, great service, and reasonably priced are all reasons you'll want to eat here again & again.

Their porterhouse is my favorite and it comes seasoned to perfection and cooked just as ordered. You must try their mixed appetizer plate which consists of fried potato skins, onion rings, and the best fried green tomatoes you'll ever eat. This restaurant is a little on the pricey side but well worth the money! Be sure to call ahead for a reservation or else settle in for quite a long wait, especially on the weekends. less

Not only is the seafood cooked properly, there is much more variety to choose from than the others. It's a bit more expensive than some of the others but then you get what you pay for. We highly recommend it. less

Looks like a shack from the outside but the food inside is the best. They recently added airconditioning throughout so you can dine in comfort. The conch fritters are to die for. A must try if you're in the Keys.
