I'm a 61 year old retired electrician who has traveled or lived all over the midwest. I know the BBQ joints of Texas to the best Po'boys of South Louisiana. My wife and I have lived here in Tulsa for 8 years and I know for a fact that some of the best places to eat in this area aren't listed yet! I want to change that!

Cooked when you order,they will add anything that you want( I like mine with onion, jalapino, and letuce) On a good day they sell so many of those from the drive through that you will think they rerouted Southbound Broadway through their lot. Their hamburgers and fries are good, but the samlet alone is worth stopping for! less

Closed for several years, the quality of the food had been slipping long before it closed. Back in its hayday of the 70's, and early 80's it was the place to go for food and beer before the gun show or a Charlie Daniels or Garth Brooks concert. It was once the kinda place that you were happy in and among good companions no matter what you tracked in on your boots, or how big your hat was. The times, they are a changing- and not always for the better. less

I've been a customer for at least 20 years (back when they were located at the Farm Shopping Center) and unless you just show up without a reservation on Valentines Day (made that mistake once), both the food and the service has always been spectacular. My wife has even taken her regional manager there for lunch and now he's a regular. This is one of the places we take family from out of town and they are always impressed. The foods great,the service is wonderful, why you sitting here reading- GO!! less

Even using the paper towels at the table you will get messy, thats part of the fun! My wife and I go to the Billy Rays on E.15th, bet. Sheridan and Memorial fairly often for lunch. Their fried catfish is fantastic, the best I've found in Tulsa, and my wife can order her fried okra cooked dark and chrunchy(she's picky!) and be certain it will make it to the table exactly her way! I love the green tomato relish it's every bit as good as David Beards Catfish King down by Longview TX without making a trip. I have yet to get a meal I wasn't happy with in either Billy Rays, no matter what I order. I'm willing to bet that you'll be happy too! less

Great smoking section if you want it, good food, hard working waitstaff, I havn't gotten a bad meal yet and I can't count the times I eaten there in the last 10 years. This is the place I take my friends from out of town when they come to visit because I know we'll all enjoy the food and the trip down memory lane to the places we usta go 50+ years ago. If you feel real nostalgic, sit at the lunch counter, or grab a booth or table. Great comfort food at a comfortable place! less
