I've been here a number of times... I would say that 85% of the time the food is consistent. The wait people are very good. Food is normally fresh and you can eat all you want. Apparently, everyone in Las Cruces learns how to make hamburgers at the same Hamburger School i.e., they like to stick chopped up onions on your burger instead of the usual slices. So of course when you lift that burger to your mouth, all the onions fall out of the burger. Nothing special... Consistent is about the only thing I can say about it. The actual burgers don't have any special flavor to them... i.e., no salt, no pepper... Having said that... Try the onion rings... This is the ONLY reason to go to Blakes. Jack. less

This is mediocre Mexican food at best. The service is slow and the wait people make mistakes often. I end up eating here so often because friends, associates, and relatives have heard about it and want to try it out... I always SIGH. If you want a steak medium well, you better order it well done instead... Get the picture? Hope you're not thirsty because you won't get your non-alcoholic drink refilled any time soon... The bar offers a lot better service than the restaurant... Faster and they make a lot less mistakes. If you want OUTSTANDING Mexican food for much less price, try Andele's and Chilitos. Jack. less

Bernie, the owner is always around to make sure things are running smoothly but even when he's away, the wheels turn efficiently. All the coffee is served ... more I go to Milagro's EVERY DAY! All the coffee is served steaming HOT and is fresh all day long. Can get just a little cramped when the college students across the street at the University and local high school students hang out during the school year but even so... My beans and rice were not hot at all and actually looked a little old. Service was terrible... Both my order and the order of the person I was with were incorrect... I kept mine and ate it because I had an appointment... My friend's order arrived 15 minutes later and she ate a few bites and stuck it in box to go. Sure, the atmosphere is fine... Just don't let the waitress sit you down next to to water fountains or you'll have drops of water hitting your face all throughout your meal and even landing in your food. I will never go back and I won't recommend it to anyone. Jack. less

I've eaten at MANY Outbacks all over the country and the one in Las Cruces has to be the absolute worst. I've eaten there a total of 3 times and so far, each time my order was WRONG. Either something was missing, or the food was prepared incorrectly. One of my orders was a simple hamburger and I asked for it to be prepared well done and it came to me browned on the outside... i.e., it was RAW. When you're paying approximately $17 to $20 for a meal in Las Cruces, you expect it to be prepared the way you order it. Didn't happen the three times I was there so I won't be going back. The beer was ice cold... So on a hot day, at least you'll get refreshed. Jack. less

The food doesn't ever come out at the same time because the chef made a mistake... The basic service is fine... Nothing to brag about. Just acceptable. Okay, we had enchiladas one day and the meat was OLD and SALTY and even hard to chew through. I actually got my money back. I will never go back. The iced tea was outstanding. Jack.
