This was an excellent steakhouse my wife and i visited recently. the service, food, apps and desert were outstanding were amazing. we had a salad and french onion soup for apps, a huge tenderloin filet and ribeye for dinner, and the chocolate volcano ... more This was an excellent steakhouse my wife and i visited recently. the service, food, apps and desert were outstanding were amazing. we had a salad and french onion soup for apps, a huge tenderloin filet and ribeye for dinner, and the chocolate volcano for desert. typical entree price was about 25-35 dollars, sides are alacarte. the serving sizes are plentiful, our steaks were done perfectly. we went around 530 on a sunday, and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, but by 7 it was getting quite busy and the noise level was a little high. i am going to try the seafood next time, my wife is going to get the filet again, as she says it's the best she ever had. hope you enjoy this place as much as we did. less

Hello all, just wanted to update you on virgie's bbq. yes, it's still my favorite in houston, and now the favorite of many friends and relatives i have sent there. i have yet to find anything on the menu that is not superb in taste and tender ... more Hello all, just wanted to update you on virgie's bbq. yes, it's still my favorite in houston, and now the favorite of many friends and relatives i have sent there. i have yet to find anything on the menu that is not superb in taste and tenderness. adrian and his staff take great care in food preparation and friendly service. it has actually become a very popular place, and sometimes there is a short wait, but man is it worthwhile. just a couple things have changed; hours are now 11am to 630pm wednesday thru saturday. they have recently opened a small, attached dining room with table seating, which is a great. my family and i can't get enough of this place, try it and i am sure you will agree. less

always a very good and consistent restaurant. brisket and ribs are always perfect, and their sauce is just right. very friendly and efficient service. great for lunch if in the med center or museum district.

What a great find....the brisket was moist and smokey, the ribs were commendable, and the sauce was not too sweet and not too spicy. The sides were fresh and homemade. Prices are VERY affordable. Will definitely return again.....
