It's a nice place to go for a quick meal prior to a concert or play at nearby venues like Hill Auditorium, Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre or Power Center, which are all within easy walking distance. One needs to arrive early, however (5:30 - 6) as seating is limited and Red Hawk does not usually seat parties unless everyone is present. After that waits are normal, with only a small bar area or a very cramped entranceway available. Food is good and ample for the price. less

While the brunch menu remains essentially the same, the items are very plentiful and well done. As a result, the brunch also results in enough leftovers for a second or third meal during the week. The Wait Staff is very efficient, and coffee refills come quickly. For hearty appetities, try the Meat Boules, which are very tasty & huge! less

Unfortunately, the Heidelberg just hasn't taken advantage of that, and in my mind still remains third. Meals have always varied in quality, and the restaurant has an overall dark atmosphere that is unappealing to me. Hoewever, sometimes it's simply time for German fare, and if you want to be in the downtown area, this is the place to go. less

I believe that Mediterrano lives off its close proximity to Briarwood Mall and evening traffic from folks in the area who sometimes simply don't wish to go downtown for a meal and put up with the parking hassles. <br> That all adds up to a place that's fine to visit on an occasional basis, but not someplace to put on your list of hotspots. Zanzibar is also a place for the concert crowd and the staff is very good at timing your meal to get you out on schedule ... if you let them know in advance. less

Once Ann Arbor's premier pizza site, Cottage Inn is now by-and-large just another pizza joint. Still it's worth a visit or two per year, and for some, their pizza is #1. Try a great Greek Salad to accompany your pizza!
