If I had paid $20-$30 per person for this meal, I would be satisfied with
how good it was. As I paid close to $60 per person (with no alcohol!),
I was underwhelmed and will not be back. Of all the four star restaurants
I have been to, this had the most inattentive service and worst food
quality for the dollar. I never got a water refill the entire meal, and
when I finally got a drink refill, it was warm and without ice. The potatoes
au gratin were severely undercooked, the filet mignon, while tender,
was lacking flavor and the cinnamon and spice bread pudding was virtually
chemically free of any spice. Moreover, we were seated in a small room
and the ambient noise was annoying. Also, the prix fixe menu included
no side dishes at all. Though head and shoulders above the likes of Ponderosa
and Outback, for a place charging Morton's/Ruth's Chris
prices, I expect a whole lot more.
