| Beppe & Gianni's | Eugene, OR | |
|
I would rate Beppe & Gianni's as the best Italian restaurant
in Eugene/Springfield. The menu selection is somewhat out of the ordinary.
The standard food will be a bit bland unless you have a basic midwestern

| Lindey's Prime Steak House | St. Paul, MN | |
|
If you don't want steak, don't go here. Steak begins and ends
the menu. The food is good, the atmosphere is fun if not sophisticated
and the price is right for the quality.

| Caspers Cherokee Sirloin Room | Burnsville, MN | |
|
A good to pretty good American road house restaurant like you went with
your parents years back. Good steaks, decent prices, and friendly
staff.

This is a somewhat better than the average chain. Service is good, the
food is better than average, and priced accordingly.

| Mimi | Bakersfield, CA | |
|
Mimis is always an enjoyable palce to visit. The staff is friendly and
responsive and while the cusine is pretty standard American it is always
well prepared. I rate it as a good value for lunch or dinner.

| Applebees Neighborhood Grill & Bar | Bakersfield, CA | |
|
Applebees is to quality dining as Sears is to high-end shopping. It's
an entirely predictable, safe and mediorce experience. It certainly
shouldn't rate more than a 2.5.

| Mimis Cafe | Bakersfield, CA | |
|
The fake French food at Mimis is always enjoyable and the ambiance beats
you typical diner any day plus the staff is always friendly. I think
lunch and dinner are good values but I find breakfast over priced.

This location is out of business. See the Richfield location.

| Hoban | Saint Paul, MN | |

I ate the buffet for lunch. The food would have been first rate if it had
been fresher (I got there toward the end of lunch hour).

| Erte' | Minneapolis, MN | |
|
This is a first-rate neighborhood bistro. They do interesting variations
on American standbys. Other than the background noise being a bit loud,
it is an altogether good experience.
