This is a restaurant that is open 24/7 , so you can always get a good home cooked meal. It doesn't matter if you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner, because they are all served anytime. The atmosphere is very friendly and family oriented, and the staff is always courteous, prompt, and friendly. Everyone eats here, from buisness people eating a quick lunch, to families dining out, to groups of teens and everyone else in between. On this particular Saturday night, my husband, sister, and I decided to dine here after a hard day's work of Christmas shopping. Aparently, so did everyone else, because they were very busy. Still, we were seated very quickly, within two minutes of arriving, and didn' have to wait long to order. We ordered cheese sticks, which were excellent, and fried mushrooms, a heaping serving of hot fresh mushrooms with your choice of ranch or meat sauce. I defenitely recommend you try these! I also ordered a salad, with fat free french dressing. It was so fresh and crisp, not a bad lettuce leaf in the whole salad and the dressing was excellent, tasted like it was homemade. My husband ordered a cream of brocoli soup, one of the specials of the day, deliciously creamy and tasty. They have different soups available each day, but their best soup "Chicken cream of lemon rice" is available daily. For dinner we ordered a lasagna dinner, which comes with garlic toast (very good!), a chicken fajita pita (loaded with veggies and grilled chicken) , and a steak and egg breakfast. Their steaks are always cooked to your tastes and are always tender. A good thing about this restaurant is that you will never leave with hunger because their servings are very generous, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg either! Our total for dinner, tip and tax: only $36.00. The best part about this place is the service! The wait staff is always refilling your drinks, and asking if they can bring you anything else. Your food is always brought fast and hot. They also let you order carry-out, and you can phone in orders. This is the ONLY restaurant that I've been to that has earned a 1 star from me, only because of the service! I used to enjoy going to this restaurant as a child, with my parents, because we always got good service, but now as an adult, I have recieved nothing but terrible service from this establishment. Every time i go there, the wait staff is rude, and hardly lets me get a word in edgewise. Assuming that all I want to order is a soup and a soft drink, they fail to return to see if I need anything else, not even to refill my drink! When they finally do come back they practicaly throw the check in my face and leave without even saying a thank you! Plus, I have noticed that most of the time one of the wait staff is watching to see if I leave without paying! I don't know why they seem to have this attitude, but I assure you if they keep this up, their clientelle will definitely dwindle. Besides the bad service, I can only say that the food is good.
