| Johnny Rebs Restaurant | Long Beach, CA | |
|
Small and dirty does not equal great atmosphere as far as I'm concerned.
This place is dark and dingy - but if white trash is your bag, it's
the best.

| The Pizza Place & Garden Cafe | Long Beach, CA | |
|
I've had better pizza, but not around here. Nice atmosphere -
worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood. Parking is sometimes
a problem.

| Shenandoah Cafe | Long Beach, CA | |
|
Most of the selections here are bit on the heavy side - not that
I'm one to complain. Great high-end Southern fare. Apple fritters
are the best.

| Mum's | Long Beach, CA | |
|
This place is extremely over-rated. I have never been here when
the food was not overcooked. Menu changes often, so maybe it depends
on when you go, but at these prices, I expect a lot better.

| Sushi of Naples | Long Beach, CA | |
|
The best sushi bar in the area is Koi's in Seal Beach. Don't go to
Naples for lunch - that's when they try to pass off their day-old
fish.

| Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon | Long Beach, CA | |
|
If meat's your thing, then go here - very tasty, good-sized portions,
but not a lot of variety.

| Bake N Broil | Long Beach, CA | |
|
I think they use MSG here - the food is tasty, but I always feel sick
an hour later.

| Panama Joe's Cafe Bar | Long Beach, CA | |
|
The best thing about this place is the bar - live music, loud crowds,
bikini contests, etc. But the food is good on it's own. Not exactly
authentic Mexican, but tasty.

| Pasta al Dente | Long Beach, CA | |
|
Wide varity of pasta, with some pizza and other items thrown in
for good measure. Everyon should go here at least once, but I don't
find myself returning very often (maybe it's the parking, I'm
not sure why).

| Cafe Piccolo | Long Beach, CA | |
|
This place is doing good business for good reason - good food,
good atmosphere, good service. Small, cozy location perfect
for dates.
